Musee Bourdelle

You could not want for a better escape from the Metro and Gare de Montparnasse and the multiplicity of directions so head for exit 2 and follow the street signs to the museum some 50 yards then turn left into rue Bourdelle and the entrance is another two minutes walk. The security is strict so beware anyhing metal and phones to be placed in the tray and then walk straight in as its free. First stop is the garden to locate Antoine Bourdelle's masterpiece Hercules the Archer. There are two more adjacent gardens before heading into the studio spaces that are welcoming decorated with early 20th century furniture and plaster busts. This after all was his home.
